In Gratitude – ‘Tis The Season

164154

While attending University, way back when, I used to board with a great big Irish Catholic family. Actually, there were once seven children at home but when I arrived on the scene to rent a room, only the mother and one daughter were left at home. The young woman and I both attended the University of Toronto at the same College.

When I came downstairs one day the mother, H. (I’ll call her), wearing a surgeon’s mask, was stripping the paint from around the oak window casings with a small blow torch and a paint scraper. She was singing softly to herself. I tried to creep by without disturbing her as she seemed so intent on her task. She called out, “Is that you Allyson?” I replied, “Yes, I’ve come down to make some breakfast.”

I recall commenting on the incredible amount of work she was doing and that it might take a year, or more, for her to strip all the windows in the house, including the stained glass ones, and wasn’t she afraid of burning the wood or torching the glass? She responded that it was therapy for her after the decades of work at Queen’s Park as an assistant to a prominent political member. She was now retired and it seemed stripping windows of their white paint was how she’d decided to best fill her days. At the time, I didn’t understand why a retired person wasn’t out scuba diving or lunching with a whole gaggle of friends.

She continued, saying that she wove her prayers into the vapour from the torch, that they would be carried heavenward with each bubble of paint that she scraped from the sill. During the hotter summer months, she’d often strip the paint for 8-9 hour stretches in her panties and a loose t-shirt. I wondered at this sixty-five year old feminist as if she was a most curious object. Sometimes, I knew that she could feel my eyes on her and I could feel her smile; she’d just continue humming as she worked without saying a word. One time she did ask me if I had issues with feminism, and for three decades after I was mystified by her question.

Late one afternoon, I came home via streetcar along Gerrard St. East, to find on my bed a book entitled, “A Canticle for Leibowitz” by Walter M. Miller, Jr. about a simple shopping list left behind by a monk and how its seemingly benign items like, “Pound pastrami, can kraut, six bagels–bring home for Emma” speaks to the rise and fall of humanity in the face of atrocities like a nuclear holocaust. At the time, I didn’t have a clue why H. would want me to read such a book, however, since she seemed to take an interest in me (I had been orphaned the year prior) I forced myself through its pages. We never spoke about why she gave it to me.

To this day, I still don’t wholly understand the ramifications of what was written on the pages of that book, so I took it on as a gesture of intention, a meditation of sorts. Just as this woman scraped paint day after day, perhaps not wholly understanding why or what her function or purpose was at the time, she was investing her thoughts into the practice. I tried to bring the same gesture to that book, and many other books and practices since.

H. taught me that to be a woman in the 21st century, it is sometimes enough not to will something into existence with a great fury, hell bent on accomplishment. That sometimes, seemingly meaningless, repetitive tasks can allow for the space to contemplate, ruminate and even pray. That sometimes, whispering your hopes and dreams into the whiff of vapour, or exploring the incongruous meaning behind why a person is canonized by patriarchal religion is similarly mysterious.

It is the task of remaining open and receptive, in a state of gratitude for the simple things in life, where laying down the rod of doing in exchange for a state of being is an act of utter courage. It is the meaning of the “mass” portion of Christ-mass. When I look up Mass, I get a whole conglomeration of meanings in Wikipedia that look something like this:

“The English noun mass is derived from Middle Latin missa. The Latin word was adopted in Old English as mæsse (via a Vulgar Latin form *messa), and was sometimes glossed as sendnes (i.e. “a sending, dismission”).[8] The Latin term missa itself was in use by the 6th century.[9] It is most likely derived from the concluding formula Ite, missa est (“Go; the dismissal is made”); missa here is a Late Latin substantive corresponding to classical missio.

Historically, however, there have been other explanations of the noun missa, i.e. as not derived from the formula ite, missa est. Fortescue (1910) cites older, “fanciful” etymological explanations, notably a latinization of Hebrew matzâh (??????) “unleavened bread; oblation”, a derivation favoured in the 16th century by Reuchlin and Luther, or Greek ?????? “initiation”, or even Germanic mese “assembly”.[10]Already Du Cange (1678) reports “various opinions on the origin” of the noun missa “mass”, including the derivation from Hebrew matzah (Missah, id est, oblatio), here attributed to Caesar Baronius. The Hebrew derivation is learned speculation from 16th-century philology; medieval authorities did derive the noun missa from the verb mittere, but not in connection with the formula ite, missa est.[11] Thus, De divinis officiis (9th century[12]) explains the word as a mittendo, quod nos mittat ad Deo (“from ‘sending’, that which sends us towards God”),[13] while Rupert of Deutz (early 12th century) derives it from a “dismissal” of the “enmities which had been between God and men” (inimicitiarum quæ erant inter Deum et homines).[14]”

It is really a tough piece for me to sort through. I don’t fully understand its holy  historical references; however, if I am patient enough, some vaporous light may illuminate it if I’m meant to know more. The other day, in a foreign country, where the language is foreign to me, I slipped into a two hundred year old church during mass. I sat in a back pew, closed my eyes in the cool stoney air and felt the wisps of incense wash over my fatigued bones. My camera draped at my side, I closed my eyes and fell into a meditative state as the filthy, homeless person with a ratty beard prayed next to me in Spanish on bended knee.

In the past, when directed by my mentor, Steven Decker, to study Rudolf Steiner until I drifted off to sleep more mystified and confused than ever, I’d become comforted without knowing precisely why I was studying such heady texts. It was like being tussled and tossed about in the washing machine of mystery. While I don’t always know in the moment, I trust that a canticle of meaning will eventually find me during the seemingly most mundane of tasks, a whispered prayer, poem or song received in the corridors of my heart.

I no longer have issues with powerful women. They don’t scare me. H. was right. It took me years to understand that just because I wasn’t counted as a wizened woman in my early twenties due to my weakened, diseased state  doesn’t mean that I didn’t have the potential to eventually become one.  After thirty years, through the portal of my own health, I learned to breathe many prayers into countless sill windows. Although ongoing, I now feel the answers to my own feminine mystery; a sweet place where I might serve in my ontological confines in this present space and time.

A canticle of seemingly endless lists filled with pastrami and sauerkraut in the face of political holocaust can join together to produce strong, capable and assured women, who whisper prayers for the salvation of self and other into the vapours of time. This unifying presence through family and intention is the Divine feminine ignited.

This year I am thankful for rest, health, verve, ease, strength, quiet, creativity and an inner grace that is ripening. I am grateful for inspiring women, and men, in my life who hold the candle of the mysteries of life in good stead until they’re ready to be wholly illuminated. I am able to fall into meditation, offering prayer-filled alms to the Spanish beggar for he shines the light on what is still my greatest challenge: the quickness with which I judge the sills of time to be too many to make a shred of difference.

“Just as in the body, eye and ear develop as organs of perception, as senses for bodily processes, so does a man develop in himself soul and spiritual organs of perception through which the soul and spiritual worlds are opened to him. For those who do not have such higher senses, these worlds are dark and silent, just as the bodily world is dark and silent for a being without eyes and ears.”

Happy Re-New-al Year to you all!

Honing Our Organs of Self Knowledge As Digital Nomads

Well, we’ve put 19,000 kms in total on our car since June travelling across Canada and down the west coast of the United States and into Mexico. We’re finally settled in the most remarkable city that we’ve ever been to in both Europe or North America. Think ancient Italian port town nestled on a rocky bowl with mind-blowing food and culture for less than a few pesos.

Guanajuato, Mexico is built in a steep teacup that is an ancient caldera of a volcano. It was the seat for the Spanish invasion, and subsequent revolution, due to the wealth of the gold and silver mines documented in the art of Diego Rivera (Frida Kahlo’s husband).

dsc_0065

In the week that we’ve been here, we’ve already been to several concerts, with a world class symphony, with performers that hail from Russia, Europe as well as Mexico. Yesterday, I went to a piano recital that blew my socks off, afterwards there was a wine and tapas offering in the spectacular garden with local folks peppered with expats. It cost me $10 Canadian.

img

I’m learning to muddle through with my broken Spanish, although it is tough being so effusive and so short on vocabulary. I will start my tutoring online next week and hope to volunteer here with local youth who make organic soaps and olive oil so that I can learn more of the colour of this expressive romance language.

Our two room casita, with fibre-op, sits at the very top of the bowl with mountains jutting up on three sides. Any stroll to the the town takes us on a steep incline that makes me often think that I need a climber’s belt, ropes and several carabiners to make it back home.

img1

Our morning hikes take us down cobbled streets through a dam, salted with patos blancos (white ducks), a gorgeous park past several schools and universities for art, political science and engineering. Of course, there are churches with huge iron bells and haciendas dotted in between with old colonial styling and balconies, man how I love a pretty balcony!

Jeff and I will scoot into Café Tal for a Sencha Tea (or the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had) and then we might have a couple of steamed tacos for breakfast from a street vendor. All totalling about $3.50 Cdn. A cab is 50 pesos (about $3.00 with tip) and the bus is 5 pesos (which is so little I can’t calculate it). Our groceries for the week come to about $30 – $40 Cdn at Mercado Hidalgo (built by Ernesto Brunel and Antonio Rivas Mercado with input by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel of Paris’ Eiffel Tower) where we get all our fruits, vegetables and meats.

jeff

It’s even cheaper if you walk the streets and locate the native indians, mostly women with babes in arms, who’ve brought their wares to sell down from the ranchos way above the lip of the caldera. One such young fellow, in front of his parent’s vegetable stall, stopped and asked me in broken English where I was from. I responded, “Canada,” gesturing way, way far from here, and he asked me if we speak English there and I said, “Yes, and French too!”

The weather is very cool here at night, dropping down to a nippy 5-8 degrees celsius which is in the mid 40’s on the fahrenheit scale. Like home, we have three blankets on our bed for warmth at night. And boy do we sleep! At 7,000 feet above sea level, we’re having to take the homeopathic remedies, Coca and Cundurango, for a touch of altitude sickness. You’re extra sleepy at night, the oxygen thinner so when hiking back up the 3,500 steps (about 15 flights of stairs … no, we don’t count them … we have an app for that!) from having tea, we need to stop a couple of times to catch our breath. Also, you can have headaches right where you’d have devil’s horns, if you were thusly inclined, on the top of your head and feel at times a little hungover with a stomach bug.

While it takes about six weeks, typically, to stabilize your blood oxygen levels, we’re already feeling amazing in our new locale. We travel like this to fulfill our astral desire function to know new people, culture, art, music and language. It builds the ontic (sense of autonomy/immunity) by holding our essence in check as we’re exposed to many different circumstances and seeming social incongruencies to our more conservative Canadian sensibilities. Also, living in Canada, frankly is just too familiar, and also very pricey now that we’ve just paid off all of the “investments” we made into our education.

mountain

We’ll see what the next five months here in Mexico yields. In our opinion, we’d much rather be on this side of any walls to be erected by boisterous (better if I don’t add the other adjectives I’m thinking of) politicians.

How to Use Feeling to Provoke Healing

we-need-to-feel-to-heal

Consciousness of feelings sparks the desire to heal. First, we have to identify that we don’t like certain feelings before we can change them. Perhaps you have an inclination to feel perpetual fear that keeps you from engaging in an activity, or sadness that makes you think that maybe you’re depressed. Maybe you’re feeling guilt just like your mother did or you find yourself flying off the handle with a primal anger that startles you.

Much of these feelings are provoked over time from thwarted desires. Many of them are anchored in unresolved childhood trauma. If we can get to you soon enough and apply Heilkunst principles, we can reverse and re-engineer the feeling before it becomes an engendered disease with both physical and mental symptoms. It is so much easier to reverse a disease matrix when it’s still simply a feeling (think of the relative ease of preventing a preganancy before conception compared to after).

When we apply the law of cure, like cures like, the patient gets to experience, on the emotional level (and physical too) the backing out process. This means that she will revisit the reasons that she contracted with the state of mind (thwarted desire) in the first place before it became a chronic physical or mental manifestation of the disease matrix.

All disease starts in the mind and can be traced back to a frustrated desire (external) versus “wrongly formulated or misguided desires due to illusion, delusion, belief, etc.” (internal). You can study Messages From the Body by Michael J. Lincoln or The Healing Power of Illness by Thorwald Dethlefsen if you want to know more on what symptom corresponds to what state of mind.

If a negative feeling or belief is around long enough, it will engender a disease matrix that spawns symptoms. By then harnessing the law of cure (‘homeopathic’ means ‘similar suffering’ from the Greek) will become necessary. It will not be cured until then. So many folks try to take sufficient vitamins, eat the right foods, exercise, go to talk therapy or use essential oils for example, which are great for sustaining health when you’ve already got it, but for an engendered disease the only law of cure is like cures like.

The healing phase occurs as part of the secondary action following the cure. It is a natural byproduct that occurs from the process of having addressed the underlying cause on the law of cure. The original thwarted desire can suddenly, and easily, become a realized reality. We, luckily, get to see this resolution with our patients and also in ourselves. As a result, the physical symptoms no longer have an etiology to anchor to, and will dissipate, as the cause has been removed; the lifeforce unblocked.

All chronic symptoms have a functional relationship to “the feeling.” Once this root cause is wholly addressed, lawfully, then the healing can begin, but not before. Otherwise you’ll hear the patient say that he “feels stuck” or that she just can’t “move forward”.

If caught before the point of engenderment of a disease (think pregnancy again), then it’s simply a matter of “changing your mind” and reverse engineering those thoughts. However, if the feeling has spawned a root system (think placenta), with the accompanying chronic symptoms, there is only one law of cure, like cures like, if you want to address it to its very essence.

You need to feel in order to heal, and then by applying the correct principle(s) to properly address the nature of your suffering outright you extract it by the roots (the traumatic timeline and the Genetic Miasms). If you think about it, simply trying to change your mind or throw supplements at it (the law of opposites is only healative), it won’t change the fact that you’re still ‘pregnant’ with the diseased feelings running amok.

Jeff Korentayer and I (Allyson McQuinn) have almost 20 years of study and practice discerning the difference  between “feeling” and “emotion” (or “feeling” and “feelings”), as well as “objective” versus “subjective” feeling. Basically, we diagnose through your feelings into the singular, underlying feeling, isolating the deeper emotional blockages that you may be able to verbalize, or not. Your symptoms tell a whole story, and not just physically, that we can isolate through “objective” feeling.

Here’s an example:

You say that you suffer headaches over the eyes, sinusitis, difficulty getting to sleep at night and a desire to be alone. You despise when folks try to console you as it makes you feel more irritated than better. We notice on your timeline that you’ve never felt well since a series of break-ups which followed the death of someone close to you.

Even though you’ve described a number of emotions and symptoms, the objective feeling is one of unresolved grief. The homeopathic remedy to address the underlying cause for all of these feelings, functions and sensations is Natrum Muriaticum. The thwarted desire has to do with feeling blocked from realizing resonant love and fears associated with one’s limited mortality.

While this is a very simplified example, my hope is that you get the idea of how feeling the feelings is the first phase in setting your GPS “to heal.”  Once you’ve identified that you no longer want to feel this way, that you need help to unblock where you feel stuck, we can peel your onion of thwarted desires using curative principles, the Heilkunst approach, and help you to get on with fully actualizing your essential self, enabling you to realize all your goals and dreams.

Lisa’s Natural Birth ala Heilkunst

unnamed-2

Our baby, Seamus is our “opps baby”. The pregnancy was a bit of a surprise since we weren’t trying and both of us are 44.  We both have been in treatment with our Heikunstler (and I am a Heilkunstler in training) for over 15 years, eat organic and try to live a healthy lifestyle so getting pregnant easily should have been no surprise since fertility and health go hand in hand.

My pregnancy was routine and uneventful and I did remain active throughout it – down hilled skied until I was 20 weeks, biked until 30 weeks and hiked until 35 weeks, this was on top of taking care of my two other boys (13 and 8 yr olds) and a female Newfoundland puppy. My last baby was born at home, and I planned a home birth for Seamus as well.

I went overdue, a new experience for me as both of my other boys were born at 39 weeks. As I approached 41 weeks with an OP position (posterior) I started taking homeopathic remedies to help turn my baby, along with seeing my acupuncturist and chiropractor. My labour started (literally) with a splash when my water broke all over our family room floor at 10:30 pm on a warm summer night. I called out to Doug but he was putting our youngest to bed and didn’t hear me, so my oldest son, told him my water had broke and I needed some towels. He ran downstairs with our “good” towunnamed-4els which I refused to use and frustrated him since he wasn’t concerned about what towels we used – he did go up and get different towels. He seemed more panicked than I expected and when I asked him what was going on, he replied that the last time my water broke, I had delivered within 15 minutes. Once I explained to him that I had been in active labour for a few hours then, and that this was the start of this labour, he settled down and we both laughed about the misunderstanding.

We put our boys to bed, who wondered if the baby was coming soon and we told them that it could be hours yet. At 11:00pm, I called my midwife and as there was no active labour pattern, she told me to try and get some rest and call her when labour had established itself. Doug and I chilled out in our bedroom – it was a wonderful restful, intimate time as we chatted and relaxed. Contractions started at 11:30pm (it should be noted that we were so relaxed that Doug dozed off while timing the first few contractions. LOL) and by12:30am they were becoming uncomfortable, so I asked my midwife to come and got into my tub to get some relief.

Our midwife and douunnamed-3la arrived at 12:45pm and my contractions were 3 minutes apart and were lasting 1 minute. At this point things went fast, and got blurry as I quickly dilated (my midwife did not do any internal exams – she usually doesn’t do them as she can usually tell how quickly a woman is dilating by observing her). I can remember feeling some fear as my contractions got more intense and asked Doug to write out a paper remedy for aconite which took care of it instantly. My doula and midwife were amazing using comfort methods between contractions such as ice cold cloths on my shoulders, giving me ice and water (at this point I wanted nothing to eat) and lots of encouragement, especially when I hit transition and decided that I didn’t want to have a baby after all. LOL. Doug was a rock star went things got tough for me, helping me in and out of the tub, keeping me reassured when I felt I couldn’t do one more contraction, and letting me squeeze whatever parts of him I had a hold of during contractions. I had assumed a half squat in my tub and it was suggested that I move around more but after changing positions, I quickly realized that I had naturally assumed the best position for me and quickly went back to it and stayed in that position until I was fully dilated – a great example of my body knowing what is right for it when left alone to follow its own guidance.

I started pushing at ~2:35am and started to lose control for a moment with the tremendous forces urging this baby down. My midwife quickly runnamedeminded me that this was a big baby and if I didn’t go slow, I could tear. I listened to her and put every effort into relaxing and letting my body move the baby on its own. At this point I was lying back in the tub and Doug was supporting my upper body. As Seamus was moving down, I could feel my hips shift slightly to accommodate him and within 10 minutes he was crowning. He had turned during labour from OP to OA (I had been doing paper remedies of Kali-carb throughout labour to help him turn) and once his head was out, I took a two-minute break while waiting for the next contraction – my midwife said he was rotating his shoulders underneath the public bone during this time. This seemed like a long time for Doug who initially worried about our baby’s head being out under water for such a period of time, but my midwife assured him, that baby was fine and was being given oxygen through his cord. I didn’t want to push anymore at this point (not that I had done a lot, as my body had done most of it without any effort on my part), but my last contraction took over and with one push, Seamus was born at2:50am.

unnamed-1He gave a little cry and quickly settled on my chest. Heated towels were put around him while we relaxed in the tub waiting for the placenta to detach. The cord stopped pulsating after 15 minutes so Doug cut it and my placenta was delivered 15 minutes later (actually I stood up and after the smallest of pushes it fell out). I had no tears from the delivery which was great seeing that he was our biggest baby weighing 8pds, 7 ounces. Seamus was peaceful and alert after the delivery and Doug and I spent the rest of the night/morning relaxing in bed with our new baby (I did a paper remedy of arnica to help me with my recovery).

My recovery was very short as all soreness had left within 24 hours of the birth (I also took birth remedies after the delivery), and all bleeding at stopped 4 days after delivery. I had my placenta encapsulated and started taking the capsules 5 days after birth. Breastfeeding is going well, and I’m feeling great. ~ By Lisa Power

HP (Homoprophylaxis) and How to Get Your “Green Vaccines”

HP_is_for_Homoprophylaxis_..._we_ve_been_providing_-green_vaccines-_to_patients_for_the_last_15_years_with_the_highest_of_efficacy,_without_causing_an_ounce_of_harm._We_work_internationally.

Background

Some of you know that we’ve been working on a book called, “The Vaccination Myth and The Immunization Answer; How to Use Homoprophylaxis to Easily Obtain Natural Immunity.” It is a hard piece for me to research and write, for two main reasons.

  1. My son was badly vaccine damaged by the Hep. B (high pitched screaming around the clock for 6 months) and then by the MMR (which injected him into suffering advanced Autism including stimming, no eye contact, severe constipation, thwarted language skills, OCD behaviours and bouts of rage including hitting, biting, and kicking)
  2. I’m beyond enraged, myself, to discover the full extent to which no vaccine has actually been scientifically proven. It boils down to the fact that humanity is Big Pharma’s guinea pigs without an ethical placebo. I’m simply shocked, during this research project, to trace certain vaccines right into the heart of the 3rd Reich and Hitler’s Regime, an Ahrimanic nightmare, with deep roots of supremacist tyranny. Forced vaccines are actually breaking the Nuremberg Code which is: “The Moral Right to Conscientious, Philosophical and Personal Belief Exemption to Vaccination.”

History of Medical Tyranny

I’ve learned how kids became paralysed and subsequently died from the Salk-killed polio virus that originated in California’s Cutter Labs and how Roosevelt used one of his colleagues from Wall Street to promote the March of Dimes anyway. They tried out the vaccine on innocent boys from a group home in Pennsylvania without their prior consent. As a result, hundreds of children became sick and some even perished while this unethical vaccine was released to the public en masse anyway.

Source: http://amhistory.si.edu/polio/virusvaccine/vacraces2.htm

We also know that the highest incidence of AIDS infections actually first showed up where Hep. B vaccines were concentrated in New York City, San Francisco and central Africa. Could this be a form of ethnic cleansing? Dr. Richard Leviton seems to think so, if you read his book, “Physician; Medicine and the Unsuspected Battle for Human Freedom.” Also, it begs the question about the logical use of this vaccine in infants who cannot engage in carnal relations where Hep. B could possibly be transmitted. Also, the vaccine wears off by the time the child is 16. This begs the question, how much revenue is gained by this unproven needless vaccine in a newborn?!

Source: https://www.amazon.com/Physician-Medicine-Unsuspected-Battle-Freedom/dp/1571741682

Also, the HPV Vaccine has maimed and also killed hundreds of girls. The CDC actually cited, years ago, that there is no biological connection between the human papillomavirus and cervical cancer. In May 2007, it was reported that over 1,600 adverse reactions, including three deaths, had been linked to Gardasil, Merck’s new vaccine for human papillomavirus (HPV). It appears that this vaccine was conjured out of thin air without a shred of evidence proving its efficacy. It is being tried on unsuspecting teens and it’s now being promoted for boys and infants to take as well?!

For the past 20 years and more, our community has been providing “Green Vaccines” on the sound basis of homoprophylaxis. This is a simple oral dose of the homeopathic rx, that has no capacity to cause you or your infant harm. We’ve provided these nosodes in the prevention of childhood illness and to those travelling to distant lands with the highest of efficacy during this time. It is administered as a dry dose, either on lactose powder or on a potato starch wafer, depending on where it is being shipped to.

Back in late 1990s, we sampled one hundred individuals each year for the first 5 years to discern if any of them ended up suffering a bout with the flu. None of them had. While every year those who’ve chosen to get the allopathic flu shot have less than 10-20% efficacy given that the strain morphs each year. Some years, the CDC has admitted giving a vaccine with no proven efficacy. These vaccines are also laced with Thimerosal (mercury) which is a known neurotoxin and has a known connection to Autism.

Source: http://www.nvic.org/nvic-vaccine-news/january-2015/another-epic-fail-for-influenza-vaccine.aspx

Dr. Mercola cites, “To put things into perspective, malaria kills 3,000 people EVERY DAY, and it’s considered “a health problem”… But of course, there are no fancy vaccines for malaria that can rake in billions of dollars in a short amount of time. One Australian news source, for example, states that even a mild swine flu epidemic could lead to the deaths of 1.4 million people and would reduce economic growth by nearly $5 trillion dollars.

Give me a break, if this doesn’t sound like the outlandish cries of the pandemic bird-flu I don’t know what does. Do you remember when President Bush said two million Americans would die as a result of the bird flu? In 2005, in 2006, 2007, and again in 2008, those fears were exposed as little more than a cruel hoax, designed to instill fear, and line the pocketbooks of various individuals and industry. I became so convinced by the evidence AGAINST the possibility of a bird flu pandemic that I wrote a New York Times bestselling book, The Bird Flu Hoax, all about the massive fraud involved with the epidemic that never happened.”

Perhaps also think of the more recent Ebola and Zika scares. The media used these potential scourges to rattle the chain of fear in the population. Big Pharma, the mainstream media and those vile henchmen in government, who don’t mind lining their pockets with dirty drug money from this legal drug cartel, use fear to keep the population within its insidious grasp of control. It is becoming the crime of this century as 1 in 45 boys now suffer Autism at the hands of this insidious matrix!

History of HP

The most data collected on HP that we know of is by Dr. Isaac Golden in Australia. He’s been using HP for decades with kids achieving the greatest of efficacy. Not only is HP devoid of chemicals, adjuvants (they over-stimulate the immune system so that it responds more strongly to the vaccine), heavy metals (like aluminum and mercury), preservatives, antibiotics, human DNA from aborted animal or fetal tissue, GMO’s, propylene and ethylene glycol (window washer fluid), it performs with the best results into the 90th percentile. On the sound basis of like cures like, we can actually provide you and your child with natural immunity to a disease without risking an ounce of harm. This is how your body naturally assumes immunity in nature.

Homeoprophylaxis is also effective for the prevention of childhood diseases as observed in 3500 children (Golden, Isaac. “Homeoprophylaxis-A Fifteen Year Clinical Study: A Statistical Review of Efficacy and Safety of Long Term Homeoprophylaxis. With HP, you and your child develop lifelong immunity as a result of these bio-resonant remedies. There can be a mild healing reaction in some cases after a child has had an HP dose given that they may have a cellular memory of their parents’ allopathic shots within their DNA and so a slight fever, a longer nap that day or runny nose can be indicative of this “clearing” of the debris from their soma. There is no risk of swelling at the site of injection as the dose is administered orally with HP.

Also, in 200 years, there has not been a case of seizures or deaths ever from a homoprophylactic dose of a homeopathic remedy like with conventional vaccines. Cilla Whatcott, HD RHom, CCH, PhD writes, “The innate developing immune system recognizes one disease, begins an immune response by producing a fever, then a discharge or eruption, and then resolution by developing lifelong immunity to a specific virus. HP produces a similar response yet in a much milder way. We might observe a very brief runny nose or perhaps a longer nap. However, there is no immune system confusion, no viral competition, no crossed signals, and no system overload like with conventional vaccines!

HP is made by serial dilution of an original substance, either from a natural disease or from an animal, mineral or vegetable source. It is diluted past Avogadro’s number (remember high school chemistry?), rendering it devoid of any molecules, and thus harmless. It maintains the original energetic frequency, however. It’s this stimulation to the immune system that primes it to recognize a disease when encountered in the environment to effectively mount an immune response in the most natural way. Or, the disease is repelled altogether.”

We’re very excited to report that homoprophylaxis hasn’t the capacity to cause harm, but it also has a stellar, proven, track record. Dr. Hahnemann, the founder of Heilkunst (and the principle homeopathy meaning “similar suffering”) Medicine determined that what makes a healthy person sick, can also cure someone who is sick. In his 88 years, he proved 99 remedies efficacious, wrote meticulous volumes on “Chronic Diseases,”  “The Organon of the Medical Art” and “A Friend to Health” in his “Lesser Writings.”  He addressed thousands of cases of Cholera and Scarlet Fever using these same homeopathic principles and homoprophylaxis in his lifetime. All this from having first translated the works of a Scottish Physician, Dr. Cullen, from English into German.

Studies Backing up HP Efficacy

Back in 2009, we wrote a blog about one of the most monumental successes in homeopathic history! The country of Cuba could not afford to buy allopathic vaccines with its $3 million dollar price tag and so they used the principles of homoprophylaxis for Leptospirosis infections, instead. The bacterial infections after flooding each year were harming thousands of individuals (some even were dying) prior the introduction of this preventative nosode. The results are cited here:

“Cuba goes through a yearly cycle of Leptospirosis epidemic, especially after the hurricanes flood the countryside and water pollution reaches its height. (Leptospirosis: infectious disease caused by the spirochaete Leptospira transmitted to humans from rats, giving jaundice and kidney damage. Can cause death). Annually the population is exposed to the disease, most especially after hurricanes. Until Aug 2007, the Finlay Institute (a part of the Ministry of Public Health, Cuba) has been distributing its own allopathic Lepto vaccination. August is the height of the hurricane season. Annually, many are left homeless, flooded out and under the stress of disaster situation. There is a sharp rise in the lepto epidemic. The usual expectancy of infection even with allopathic vaccination would have been around a few thousands, with some deaths included. Part of the reason for this is that the high cost of vaccination prevents putting but the most at-risk populations (ie children, pregnant women, elderly) on vaccination. The cost of such limited vaccination is about US$3,000.000.

But in Aug 2007, Finlay put approximately [2,500,000] people (yes! 5 million doses!) in 2 provinces on homeopathic nosode prophylaxis at the cost of about only US$ 200,000. That figure represents the entire population of the 2 provinces. The prophylaxis consisted of 2 single doses about 2 weeks apart. Included in the dose was the Lepto nosode + some Bach flower remedies to address the mental distress of the disaster situation. How very amazing it was to watch this presentation being made. Up to the point, the presenters were showing us graph after graph of the usual rise of the epidemic, year after year, even with the use of allopathic vaccination. Each year the graphs would edge higher and higher towards the year-end, reaching up to the thousands of infected. But this time, within 2 weeks after Aug 2007, the rising lines literally dropped off the chart to ZERO-Ten infections only! Yes. Near-zero infections, zero deaths from leptospirosis after Aug 2007. And in 2008, no deaths, infections less than 10 a month.”

Other studies include:

  • Influenza (International Journal of High Dilution Research 2011; 10(36):174-176)
  • Meningitis in Brazil (85,000 people (Mroninski, Adriano, Mattos. Homeopathic Links, Winter 2001, Vol 14(4))
  • Japanese encephalitis in India (20 million people (Srinivasulu, G.An Open Observational Study on the prevention of Japanese Encephalitis through Miasmatic Prescription, Journal of Homoeopathy,U.K. 2014))

The efficacy of homoprophylaxis can not be disputed. It is so robust, without causing an ounce of harm, exceeding the effectiveness of any allopathic, conventional vaccine without any dangerous or deadly side effects. Please review the studies above for further proof.

Which HP Immunizations Would I Choose?

Those of you leaping the fence from the allopathic side (I was once one of you too until my son was severely damaged) will be curious about antibodies and titres and such as a marker of immunity. As we’ve written in our book, “The Vaccination Myth and The Immunization Answer; How to Use Homoprophylaxis to Easily Obtain Natural Immunity,” this is in fact not an accurate marker as all individuals respond uniquely on the level of their immune function to ward off pathogens.

Pleomorphic shifts in disease can vary and folks with higher levels of antibodies to that disease can still get sick. Kids shedding diseases after vaccines can in fact infect vaccinated kids (read our book when it comes out with all these citations if you like). Natural immunity is not an arbitrary, mechanical measurement of titres or antibodies, but an informed, labile, motile discerning, God-endowed, lifelong immunity to diseases based on homoprophylactic exposure in a safe environment where not an ounce of harm can occur. This is how nature intended you to be!

Folks that contact us for HP are typically looking to prevent the following:

  • Childhood diseases, such as : Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Diphtheria, Pertussis, and Polio
  • Epidemics, such as Influenza
  • Endemic Diseases, such as Leptospirosis, Ebola, Zika, Sars etc.
  • Travel Immunizations, such as Hep. A, Hep. B., Dengue Fever, Yellow Fever, Malaria, Cholera, etc. (both endemic or epidemics depending)

The dosing for the prevention of each disease depends much on the health of the individual and the virulence of the disease. In healthy kids we immunize with an oral “green vaccine” about once every 3 years. In the case of the flu, typically once in the Fall and once in January, again, depending on the health of the individual and whether or not we’ve done prior timeline or Genetic Miasm therapy with them using Dr. Hahnemann’s principles of Heilkunst.

In the case of an endemic issues, again it depends on how significant the issue is and how prevalent the infectious, or protracted, nature in the population was in the past. In many cases, we administer the remedy and watch for a healing reaction which will inform us how best to proceed with (and when) for the next dose. This is how medical science, tailored to the individual, has been rendered for hundreds of years prior to allopathy and their one-size-fits-all approach.

We’ve never had a patient challenged at the border when travelling or restricted from attending school in Canada (we’re protected by our Constitution … thank God) or even when crossing borders worldwide (although we expect this to change in the U.S. as Big Pharma attempts to squeeze {or murder*} us holistic physicians). In Canada, you can still abstain from vaccines based on the signing of the form of “Religious and Conscious Beliefs.” Just ask, we’ve got copies in our office that we can send to you. The frustrating part is that you have to have a person who’s designated to sign a “declaration of oaths” and apply their official seal to the original. However, a copy remains on file at schools, camps and other institutions exempting your child from having to be vaccinated. In some States, your rights are being infringed upon (ie. Bill SB277 in California) so you’ll have to research on a State by State basis what your exemption rights are.

Administering The Actual Dose

After an initial consultation, we will ship the homoprophylaxis remedies to your door by mail or courier. Nursing moms will just simply take the dose themselves for their infant or toddler. Children that are ingesting solids don’t have issue with taking their potato starch remedy or the ones made up with vitamin C powder or lactose powder given that it just dissolves on the tongue in less than 2-5 seconds. You can watch here as “Wee Willow Takes Her Remedy” if you’d like to see one of our littlest patients administered her remedy by her Mom. More elderly patients often seeking prevention for the annual flu will have no issue taking their homoprophylactic flu dose by mouth or in their water or food.

In the Words of a Brand new Homeschooling Mom

12308473_989024061157452_7827027006852178667_n

“As I shift my thinking from our seemingly traditional way of educating children, to the new way of learning with worldschooling, unschooling, homeschooling, it’s given me some unique perspectives, although I bet many of you have found this to be true as well. Families who school traditionally always seem angry, frustrated, stressed. Not just with themselves, but with their children as well. They have that set schedule, and heaven forbid if it doesn’t work out as planned! The kids don’t get up on time, don’t do as they are told in a timely manner, etc., etc. The kids fight everyday, about things that no longer seem that important to me.

It’s amazing how much time, energy and effort families are putting into getting to school on time, (kids) behaving in school, doing well in school. Their lives are essentially put on hold … for school. Instead of learning around their life schedule, they are living around a school schedule. This is not conducive to a happy home I’m finding.

Just this morning, a friend posted on FB that her morning had gone to hell in a hand basket because no one was cooperating, no one was was dressed on time for school, lunches weren’t made yet because she had spent her early morning fighting with the kids to get them up on time and such… all so that they can get to a building on time! I posted on her status “You know … Homeschooling would fix this … Set your schedule, or don’t!” She agreed, but left it at that.

I’m also finding parents can not wait until their little ones are five, so that they can drop them off at school and let them be someone else’s issue for 6 hours. They want “Me time” again. Ok sure! I get that! Everyone needs some quality alone time to recharge, but it seems like it’s become a tradition to push our children away and on to complete strangers in hopes that they will learn something.

I watched Lainie Liberti ‘s Tedx Talk she just posted.. and the line where she says that she put a lot of focus on Education and school … but that the only goal for that was for her son to become educated. No other goal… and such a vague goal it was too, just being Educated seems to mean absolutely nothing these days. You can be educated and still have no clue about the world around you, be dense to common sense and compassion.

Come to think of it,  the North American way of Parenting is extremely flawed I think. We love and nurture a growing baby in the womb, but as soon as they are born we detach ourselves from them. We push them away so often because “its good for them” that we send them to School at 2.5 years of age … calling it “Pre-School” why? what is this 2.5 year old learning? I’m not even sure.

Anyways …Total epiphany this morning! This past weekend (May Long Weekend, Victoria Day) was a sneak peek into what our new lives as homeschoolers will be like. We slept in, we did what interested us, no expectations, no set schedule, we were together as a family. I turned off the TV after lunch, we read, jumped on the trampoline, colored to our heart’s content. We were just US … togetherness. It was Amazing! I enjoyed it immensely!! As did the kids!

The more I learn about this way of Learning, the more I know it’s right for us.” ~ Candice Robertson, Worldschoolers Facebook Page

My Passionflower In The Present Looks Back At The Cancerous Daffodil Of My Past

DSC_0041

Recently re-fitting out my first book, The Path To Cure, as a new audio book for a podcast was a ginormous 18 month long project. Jeff asked me to write a brand new intro to every chapter being revealed to a brand new audience weekly. As a result, I had to relive every one of my words written, wrought with so much pain and suffering from the past. For this month’s newsletter theme on Cancer, I chose to decorate the banner with the passion flower instead of the daffodil. Perhaps below, and in our blogs contained herein, you’ll understand the dynamic reason for this.

The truth is that what you’re destined to be is buried like a passionflower seed in your loins and to fully actuate your passion means first finding your individual seed, discerning what it means, and then providing the conditions ripe for it to grow. Think about what you’ve engaged with in life where you truly lose all track of time. If you still can’t figure it out, pick up Boni Lonsburry’s book, The Map to a Responsive Universe Where Dreams Really Do Come True.

Boni acknowledges that while not everyone knows what they want to be, she correctly cites that everyone knows how they want to feel. By holding the charge of feeling and tossing over board your beliefs that you’re value is not great enough to receive such abundance, you can create the circumstances ripe for what you feel ordained to be. Your passionflower will begin to self-actuate and seemingly random opportunities will start to crystallize.

Cancer grows in an environment devoid of heat (resonant sex), oxygen (principled recreation) and love (true desire function). The opposite is the recipe for a fully orgasmic life!

Sugar and chocolate are suppressive and a function of an oral block. She just can’t get the sweet passion out of life!  Eating sugar and chocolate is really a sad attempt to garner the sweetness from life externally instead of through primary drives internally. You’re not wholly expressing your feelings to yourself, or others in your life, or fully actualizing your love function (your passion) through to a full fruition (the fruit itself).  You have to have juicy sex with the whole of your world.

A primary drive as per full actualization is feeling so connected to your love function that you make no excuses to create what you love confidently and share it with the world unabashedly. This God-imbued talent or gift is hidden in your generative capacity and as you go through Heilkunst treatment, it will get harder and harder to suppress it.  Your passion flower can not be suppressed long-term without symptoms.

Don’t be surprised if you suddenly start doodling while on the phone, or magically waking up with whole poems written in your head, or feel driven to teach others how to ferment their own foods, sew baby’s clothing and sell them, coach a fellow mom at her birth, or suddenly pick up a musical instrument, dance, sing, teach, research or become an astronaut. These are just examples I’m thinking of from specific patients I’ve served.

Perhaps this year, you’re poised to find the man or woman of your dreams to have the kind of spiritual and romantic sex that you’ve always dreamed of. Don’t ever settle for anything less, as the Cancer state of mind will reduce your bar, sublimating your true desire function into watching television, eating non-resonant junk foods, doing things for family members to the exclusion of yourself more out of obligation than love or working that tortuous 9-5 desk job in that 10 x 12 cubicle with the daily 3 hour commute.

Cancer is a state of mind defined as the disease of resignation.  You’ll hear her say things like, “Well, if I don’t do it, no one else will. And certainly no one can do it as well as me.”  They’re exhausted, burnt out.  When you listen to them, your internal pathetic meter will be activated.  I know, as I used to provoke this response in others.  Due to my lack of inner guidance system, folks would happily step up to take over and tell me precisely their agenda and how I’d want to come along.

Cancer loves a false authority which is why I gravitated to false patriarchal constructs like Judaism and also worked for the Government. If someone asked me how I was, I put my child in front of me like a mascot for my un-lived life.  The truth was, I didn’t really know.  I was just that pathetic an I ended up with an inch and a half round tumour in my left breast as an emblem of how I was devoid of self-nurturing and a real sense of my self.

Let us know if you feel you’re suffering the same and we’ll provide you with the therapeutic keys to harness your own passion flower.  We all deserve to wholly self-actualize.  I should know … and, oh baby, I do.  It’s why I stepped up onto “The Path to Cure.”

Self-Inspired Education for Health and Happiness!

12439250_490431451139870_3915598996651758465_n
Most adults I begin work with, sadly, haven’t a clue what they want to explore or even how to follow that inner tendril of a lusty feeling to know themselves through inspired interests. Most question themselves constantly, “Is this what I’m meant to be doing?” they ask.  It makes me feel sad for them.
Natural unfolding and self-education are key to preserving a proper downloading of the astral body (desires) properly threaded through the ontic organization (incarnation of the self). It enables a meaty verve for life-long learning producing a sense of joy and wonder.

As adults, we engage with new concepts with the same juicy enthusiasm in precisely the same way as a child does who is left to her own curious devices! We’re no different than little kids, we simply want to know, to explore ourselves through our own thoughts and feelings and really play with how we fit in the world; what animates us?!  Only then, we’ll start to give back to others out of our own plumbed wisdom.

As children, we innately know what we love and we don’t engage with frivolous subjects that don’t feed our natural curiosity.  We’re downloaded with the natural capacity to keep falling in love with ourselves and what inspires us from the onset.  It is that aspect, called enthusiasm that is the secret ember for who we’re meant to become.  You just have to listen carefully and be sure not to snuff it out by over fanning it or, alternatively, not paying enough attention to it.
It is a God-imbued wondrous thing if that verve can be preserved. However, if we force a child to learn subjects they’re not interested in on other people’s agenda or a government curriculum, you risk breaking that child’s spirit.  That “little light of mine” will risk going out.  Alfie Kohn, natural learning advocate, states that there is no scientific evidence that homework is of any use to a child.  If it was, wouldn’t children naturally love it and pursue it?
State-based school teaches concepts solely from an intellectual standpoint.  Over time, you’ll erase the child’s natural verve, their kinaesthetic joy, they’ll stop asking a myriad of questions like, “Why is the sky blue?” The light in their eyes starts to diminish and they use statements like, “I’m bored,” more often.  This is because they’re now seeking promptings for engagement from the outside-in as their natural inner enthusiasm sadly wanes.
1472755_856385977736283_1417538146785913653_n
False authority loves those that can’t think for themselves, and they’re happy to do it for you. Big Pharma will drug you where it hurts when the ember of realization kicks up, to justify their own agendas.  I too was once a numb, sick drone working in an 8 x 12 felt cubicle in the federal government.  It felt like I’d gone there to die!
Alternatively, if you watch children play, their whole bodies and breathing apparatus are involved. Their fight for things, possessing what they care about, wearing capes and swords for weeks at a time.  They draw and paint everything, they whinny like horses, dance with abandon, juggle balls, throw bean bags into holes, study books they can’t yet read, lay on their backs studying the sky, jump stones in streams and dally in life’s greatest mysteries.  Few of us know that these tendrils of unbridled excitement becomes the flame of creativity later on.
We adults are conditioned to think and say insane stuff like, “But those activities will never land us a job in adulthood.”  I will flip them the bird and break their smoke-filled false crystal ball so fast, their head will spin!  How dare they. It is always those drones, who hate their jobs the most that spout this suppressive crap.
Just, WOW, so we cut the child down from the tree they’re just learning to climb, destroying their confidence and turning them into our expectation of an intellectual plebiscite.   The self-volitional life ebbs from their loins to take up the reins of then criticizing others through the emotional plague reaction.
We’re spiritually starved for new art, innovative music, brilliant plays, great books, big thoughts, and random acts of creativity.  We need quirky thinkers, more innovators, and fully self-actualized in-spirit-ators.  Read Elizabeth Gilbert’s Book, “Big Magic,” if you’ve forgotten how to be a creative genius out of your own generative capacity.  Learn to re-claim wonder and joy falling back in love with the nature of your inspiration!

If you’re still struggling, contact us.  The way I got back to my own essential self, extricated myself from drone-hood, and turned back on my creative flow was by applying the principles of Heilkunst Medicine.  Through sequential therapy our patients also observe their inner volition flood back as we peel off the trap doors of emotional and physical trauma recognizing that our innate creativity is trapped under those suppressive layers.
As a by-product of treatment we witness them, and ourselves too, start to become self-motivated seekers hot on the trail of an innate insatiable curiosity. They just know what brings the fire and heat in their guts, sometimes for the first time in their lives!  It is exciting and also frightening to feel this joie de vivre for the first time.  We’re often not used to it.
1934403_1560142467644119_5523870054884589741_n
My own kids chose not to be subject to the suppressive forces of allopathic education.   They both tried to go to a state-run school for a time, but they were bored and hated the coercive atmosphere, bullying and arbitrary tests and exams.  For example my son, Jordan, was just naturally tutoring all the kids in grade 10 math, coming home one day to state that he was quitting as he was doing more for the students than the teacher was, but he wasn’t getting paid for it, “I’m not drawing a salary or even getting a pension,” he joked.  He held a 99% in math that whole semester.
My children lived the natural unfolding through self-education through the inherent rhythms that John Holt describes above.  What an honor it was for me to witness their self-directed desires illuminated through the grace of time and space to explore their own inner world.  When they were little, reading to them was my biggest job after the animals on the farm had been cared for.  In their teenage years, my job morphed into supplying them with the tools and outside mentorship to further their self-actualizing goals.
My daughter, Adie, wanted to study literature, music, art and jumping horses.  My son, Jordan, chose parkour, trampoline acrobatics, Aikido, and leading leagues of battalions in World of Warcraft.  I watched them unfold staying as much out of their way as possible, wholly confident in their capacities to unfold themselves.  I worked from home and so they would come to me if they wanted help with a problem or needed me to arrange and pay for driving school or drive them to horse lessons, but mostly I just let them be.  They slept a lot!  You can read more about their story here.
I can admit now that parts of it were not easy.  Folks checking us through the grocery line often demanded to know why my children were not in school.  Depending on the individual, we got good at saying that we were just coming from a Doctor’s appointment, as if it was their business. My hardest, and often my only job, was backing off these fearful criticizers!  I was pursued at times by state-based-administration demanding accountability.  I wrote letters and lied overtly to protect myself and my children.  I also avoided e-mails and phone calls from family.
Thankfully, homeschooling, world schooling, unschooling and self-directed education is becoming more the norm although, we still have a long way to go in this realm.  I’m now asked to mentor other parents at various phases of homeschooling exploration who are just learning to trust in the inner rhythms of their own babes.  They innately get that perhaps a child’s natural unfoldment somehow preserves not only their health but also their happiness.

I will close with one of my favourite quotes from John Lennon, “When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”  Nailed it!

That’s me, Ally.  I used to wake with whole poems written in my head as a kid.
However, due to insurmountable grief, serious illness and allopathic education,
I’d lost my muse completely for over 25 years.  I HATED school! At 52, in large
part due to Heilkunst Medicine, I rekindled my muse and now I have 13 books,
(including 2 books of poetry) to my name that I have also LOVED giving birth to.

How Couples Counselling Can Give A Better Understanding Of the Positive Role of Conflict

imgres

Most folks in committed relationships feel that conflict is a bad thing.  The shadow side of the self is often suppressed with tactics like “anger management” or palliated with the “power of positive thinking.”  The subconscious will always leverage the shadow content for your “not so viewing pleasure” if you choose to keep it falsely couched behind an over active intellect.  The intellect thrives falsely anchored in the past or projected into the future and true health can be achieved as long as this is the pattern.  Relationships demand connection to our true feelings and it is best if we know what they are before negative conflict arises.

By offering yourself as a more explored whole to your partner, you risk less destabilization and demoralization on both sides.  If you choose to use the the relationship as the primary vehicle for raising negative content from the subconscious, you risk destroying your relationship with your partner and over time, with yourself.  You’ve heard how an abused man or women will enter into a similar relationship a second time.  When the conflict arises, you often get taken by the thrust of stored negative emotions that leave you mystified and trapped in a “he says, she says” mode of negative communication.  Really, no one ever benefits from a battle of wills.  This primal loop of negativity just loops tirelessly around and around.

images-2

Most art and film, for example, reveals our suppressed feelings “in the now” that allow us to see who we are in the light of day.  It will even expose our bad bits in a very positive medium.  The movie The Matrix is a very good example how art can render just how unconscious we’ve become to the forces of  evil that puppet us. In order to convert the shadow side of our being, and live outside our own Matrix, we need to shed some light on this nether aspect of the self.  Our grief, fear, anger and guilt are not going anywhere, and as you may already suspect, they do despise positive thinking and will sabotage it constantly.  If we commit to harnessing them correctly, however, we can know a greater self-powered consciousness than ever before.  By first embracing what is, in the moment, our emotions will convert, offering themselves up as a fount of creativity.  Safe expression of our feelings can become a vehicle to our greater creativity and ultimate healthy connectivity with others.

41GHEtLdJfL._SX328_BO1,204,203,200_The parts of your relationships that you despise, or even abhor, is a good indication of what you need to wrestle with in your own shadow side.  That emotion, then needs expression.  Using safe modalities such as a punching bag, Judo, art therapy, journaling, and poetry can allow you to safely see what is hidden at the level of your sub-conscious.  You can do this first, on your own, safely illuminating negative emotions positively.  Shedding light on your dark side raises your knowledge of yourself, in a more positive light, ultimately building self-confidence.  This allows the relationship to benefit from your conversion of the negative into the positive.  No individual finds anything more sexy than a partner who already lives a fully examined life.  By the time you get to the commitment stage, you are already starting most of your sentences with, “I feel …” breeding confidence and self-esteem even when the emotions are of a negative breed.  This full engagement with your feelings, relieves you of the negative matrix, allowing you to embrace positive conflict in all aspects of your life.  It begins with the self and your marriage can only benefit from it.

From Infant Constipation to Healthy Potty Training

Most folks don’t know this but if a child is potty trained under duress, it can cause a whole host of mental/emotional issues later on.  Holding the breath, contacting muscles, unexplainable fears and terrors later on are some of the negative effects of forced potty training.  It is best if you can allow your child to self-initiate this process naturally as much as possible.  I knew an awesome caregiver who allowed all the little boys in her care to pee outside or in a big aluminum juice can set in the middle of the kitchen.  Most of them would be running around freely, naked from the waist down and they loved the sound their urine stream would make on the sides of the juice can.  She would praise them lovingly for a joy that they already owned for their accomplishment.

Kids don’t moralize that “pee or poo” is considered dirty, bad or awful.  In fact they don’t have the maturity of the ego to understand why something that was naturally inside their body, part of them, is suddenly deemed yucky just because it is now in a diaper, in the tub or on the floor.  The best parents I know don’t shove their limited way of looking at the world onto their babes prematurely.  Kids work on the model of “ownership” and success so it is best if you can make this a win-win process for them as it will pay off in the long run.

If you get down on your hands and knees and imagine what it would be like to be a sixth of your present size and what it would be like to fall into the toilet, potentially not being able to get out, you’ll be off to the store to buy a suitable potty.  Babes do best if they are permitted to wander and explore at their own pace around their own potty.  Allow them to follow both parents into the washroom when you have to go, too.  Special books with images of little kids making “poo poo” or “pee pee” in the potty can have a wonderful effect on cultivating the idea in your child.  Allow them to choose whether or not the book resonates with them, as this is a safe indication of whether or not they are ready for the idea.  If they seem inclined to sit on the potty while reading to themselves or while watching a favorite movie, provide them with praise and loving attentions such as, “What a big boy you are!  Good job, buddy!” It is a mighty big decision for a child to separate from their own urine or stool.  We rarely understand the magnitude of this decision. A consistent approach between the parents and caregivers is crucial.

If things are not going well and you suspect your caregiver may be forcing the issue, you will notice potty training anxiety such as:

        • being scared of the flush of the toilet when you use it.
        • Feeling pushed, or having been punished for a previous potty attempt will be illustrated as shame.
        • A history of painful bowel movements from constipation.
        • holding of breath / tightening of muscles.

I was shocked and upset to see my own son spontaneous stop using the potty after a DPTP (Diptheria, Polio, Tetanus, and Pertussis) shot.  He would go behind a large plant in the hall screaming out, “Don’t look at me!”  He would clench every muscle in his body, which seemed very counter-productive to the aim, as he attempted to “hold on” to his excrement.  Although he was wearing a pull-up and encouraged to “let go” using any means that pleased him, it was the beginning of a nightmare so extreme that he was hospitalized 7 times for constipation, once being put under general anaesthetic to have the impacted stool manually removed.  Later my son was labelled as “ADD” and then “Autistic.”  Thankfully, we were able to resolve the underlying cause with a systematic approach called Heilkunst medicine.  At the time of writing this, he is a thriving 21 year old man without an ounce of residue from this nightmare we lived when he was just a babe.
