Just as when we are dealing with an infectious outbreak, and can anticipate that we may be likely to be exposed to a certain illness, we can also know and anticipate when we are expecting to live through an emotional shock or otherwise traumatic experience. The idea of immunisation or “prophylaxis” is as valid here as it is within the realm of infectious illness. Examples can include pre-scheduled surgical procedures, difficult emotional contexts, such as “meeting the in-laws” for the first time, or high stress exam or interview situations.

In any anticipated situation such as this, patients are interested to learn, we are able to “immunise” them from much of the damaging aspect of the situation, and allow them to better “digest” the experience as completely as possible while leaving as little residue as possible. The immunising remedy in each case will be identical with the remedy which we use to clear a particular type of shock or trauma when we’re clearing a patient’s time line. The remedies which we use, for example, to clear out a traumatic childhood history of emotional abuse, would be the exact same remedies we would give a patient who is anticipating that they will be subject to an emotionally abusive situation in the near future which cannot be avoided for whatever reason.

Along these lines, homeopaths have long observed that the recovery time from surgery is much quicker and easier when the patient has prepared by taking the corresponding remedies both before and after the procedure. Patients have confirmed very quick recovery times, which have often surprised their surgeons, as well.

Remember that while not all stress can be avoided, it can be greatly mitigated with this simple application of preventive medicine. Is there a situation you are approaching which you could use some help getting through?

When my son, Jordan, was just a babe, I suffered from a lack of knowledge regarding his developmental milestones.  The problem was compounded with the fact that he was born almost two months premature and although I kept mentally correcting his biological age by two months, he wasn’t appearing to hit his milestones.  Also, being a first-time Mom, I had no clue what I was looking for as I’d never really been connected to many babbling babies or attuned to whether they made eye contact, or not.  I also had no clue, really, at what age these things are supposed to happen.  I knew my baby was special, but my veil of fear and grief kept me from seeing what was going on clearly.

Jordan also did something a little weird, he said the words, “that’s right” at about 7 months, clear as a bell … twice.  That was the first and last time I heard him speak for almost 2 years.  He crawled more at the one year mark, he poked his first teeth through the gum line at about 13 months and walked closer to 20 months.   The poor little mite screamed non-stop for the first six months of his life.  We called him “Le Miserable” and I have written my plight with my babe in greater detail in my book, The Path to Cure: The Whole Art of Healing. I’ve been told by other Moms of developmentally challenged babes that reading my book has helped them by knowing how hard it was for Jordan and I.  A homeopathic dose, if you will … like cures like!

This morning, I received a few more e-mails from concerned patients who were wondering what we recommend to prevent the “Swine Flu” to prevent this alleged pandemic.  As I was going to a breakfast meeting, I happened to turn on CBC and heard the scariest voice of false authority imaginable announcing all the precautions one must take to avoid contracting this “deadly” virus, although not one confirmed case has shown up in Ottawa as of this morning. The fellow with the very deep voice said to be on the look out for symptoms of nausea especially after returning from Mexico.

With less than 100 cases in the States, the very expensive U.S. Guard has been notified even though Congress dealt with a swine flu scare a couple years back that did not materialize into anything.  And why is the military involved?  Are they going to use vaccines for ammo.?  What happens to you when you see young men and women dressed in black with helmets, shields and guns?  Does this promote a safe feeling or fear in the average North American?  Tuberculosis did more damage the year before and nobody called in the S.W.A.T. team for God’s sake!!!

As a Physician of Heilkunst medicine, it is my deepest goal to care for the health and well-being of myself, my family and my patients.  I am ordained to do this out of being wholly connected to the principles and truth with regards to this dynamic system of medicine in service to myself and those that I serve.  I recall once telling a young lifeguard that I will make the decision to swim where I wanted to and that he had no right to impose his belief structure about e-coli in the bay in the face of the capacity for my healthy immune function to over-come it.  I told him that I would take complete responsibility for my choice.  As he paced the beach, with his eyebrows furrowed, he finally called his Supervisor to “deal with me” who then threatened to call the police if I didn’t get out of the water.  I told him, I would be happy to, after I finished my last remaining 3 laps.  They watched dumbfounded that I did not acquiesce to their authority.

I would also like to introduce another time when Cholera was being studied as a potential epidemic:

“ Koch announced his discovery of the cholera vibrio in 1884. His conclusions were based upon the constant finding of the peculiar “comma bacillus” in the stools of cholera patients, and the failure to demonstrate this organism in the feces of other persons. It was not possible to reproduce typical cholera in laboratory animals. At the time the “germ theory” of disease had not yet obtained general acceptance [they eventually got this botched science through to us, though], and Koch’s announcement was received with considerable skepticism, particularly after it was found that similar “comma bacilli” could be found at times in the feces of persons not suffering from cholera, and often in all sorts of other environments – well and river waters, cheese, etc. We now know that these were saprotrophic species of Vibrio, which may be differentiated from the cholera vibrio by cultural and immunological methods [Yes, boy that is helpful in explaining away the truth]. But the correctness of Koch’s opinion was dramatically demonstrated by von Pettenkofer and Emmerich who, doubting the etiological relationship of Koch’s organisms, deliberately drank cultures of it. Von Pettenkofer developed merely a transient diarrhea, but Emmerich suffered from a typical and severe attack of cholera. ”

Take a look at the insanity being circulated at our local health department here in Ottawa. This is botched science at its best. The thinking being that if one dose doesn’t work, just give more! Mumps is Back! As you may be aware, the incidence of mumps has been increasing recently throughout Canada, primarily among postsecondary students. There have been outbreaks of mumps in four other provinces, and infections are on the rise in Ontario. In response, The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has implemented a one-time Mumps Catch-Up Vaccination Program by offering free mumps-containing vaccine, called MMR (measles/mumps/rubella), through local Public Health Units.

Four out of five people born in Ontario between 1970 and 1995 have received only one dose of the MMR vaccine, which may not provide them with enough protection against the mumps virus. After a new recommendation in 1996, most children in Ontario received two doses of the MMR vaccine before entering elementary school. To be fully protected from contracting mumps, two doses are required. Ottawa Public Health is encouraging all young adults born between 1970 and 1995 to review their immunization records, and receive a second dose of the MMR vaccine if this has not already occurred. Clinics will be hosted at all postsecondary institutions in Ottawa, and in various community settings, from January to March 2009.

Mumps is a highly contagious viral illness that can have serious and permanent complications. Yes, folks, this is typically the scenario that arises every year. If you listen closely you can hear the Center for Disease Control say, “Whoops, we missed the strain for this year’s flu shot – sorry. Please try to overlook the fact that we’ve poisoned you, unnecessarily. Oh, and sorry also about your babies and your grandparents who also received virus from last year’s flu strain. We now know that it didn’t work this year after all just like the year we also tried to administer the prior year’s flu virus without the Avian flu being contained, and now we’re going to scramble to make another one for 2009 to poison you again with just the right live strain, you’ll see, just so that we can make a ton more cash before March! Try not to notice the anti-freeze and the Mercury being injected into your bodies, those are just the preservatives we use. Try not to pay any attention to that fever or that little bit of paralysis you may suffer later, it’s not related at all. Oh, and sorry that ADHD, Autism and Alzheimer’s are becoming epidemics, but we can never be sure what “gifts” we impart to humanity, because frankly, we’re entirely focused on getting this B-strain right before March.”

hen in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Admittedly, I’ve always felt I swam against the tide and as a kid, I declared to my parents, “I hate society and all of the stupid rules made by the government.” Although I don’t wholly recall what provoked this tantrum of sorts,  I do, however, recall the feeling of frustration at being impinged upon by some ideology that differed from my own map of the world. That feeling of injustice hit sharply against my my inner sanctity and striving for freedom. These child-like dreams just became bigger and more intense as I grew into maturity. And so did the magnitude of the injustices as I saw them.

Today, I received an e-mail from a local on-line co-operative group helping individuals to organize car rides with one another from one destination to another, for nominal fees, has been banned by the government. I also read, today, that the mystical Allopathic HPV Vaccine is now being touted to effectively treat the herpes virus expressed as genital warts in males even thought the strains don’t match and the CDC pointed this out some years prior. Maybe when their penises fall off from all the drugs, we’ll all start paying attention. Take a look at my other article on this result of bad science and pure greedy marketing. I also heard today a glitzy little number advertised on the radio for the allopathic flu shot. Folks can contact the City of Ottawa, their municipal government, for more details. God help us, and all this in one day!

Then I recalled the words newly etched in my heart, by my son Jordan, spoken so proudly the night before. He too possesses the same craving for his own sovereignty and freedom. As our former Autistic spectrum babe, I will gladly “join in a band” with him and assume responsibility for myself in utter humility to the “powers of the earth”, and at this juncture, I would like to separate from the existing “political band.” I wholly align myself with the “Laws of Nature” and the God of Nature. Be there not an ounce of separation! I commit to declaring the causes that impel me to seek such a separation. And I will declare them daily, and when really riled, hourly! If you’re one of the growing number of people rolling your eyes rather than your sleeves this flu season, there exists a safe and healthy alternative to the conventional flu shot that won’t touch your arm or your wallet.

Jeff Korentayer, a doctor of Heilkunst medicine, is one of several Ottawa-area, alternative medicine practitioners who offer some form of free homeopathic flu remedies throughout the fall and early winter flu season. The co-owner of Arcanum Wholistic Clinic says that his clinic’s Heilkunst remedy has “tracked a greater than 98 per cent efficacy in over hundreds of participants” since this service was first provided in 2002.

The one-time, oral dose is available at the clinic’s Bells Corners home/office, in addition to its Centretown location in the city’s downtown core. Most of the 15-minute appointment will be spent explaining how the remedy works, and answering questions, says Dr. Korentayer.

One of those questions undoubtedly revolves around the concept of “Heilkunst,” translated from German as the practice (“kunst”) of making whole (“heil”). More than 200 years ago, it was proclaimed by its founder, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, as a complete medical system, transcending and encompassing the homeopathic tenets already discovered by this medical maverick.

This wholistic approach considers the roles of mind, emotion, and spirit, as well as physical body, upon one’s state of health. Unlike conventional (allopathic) medicine, which merely treats the symptoms of illness, Heilkunst roots out the underlying causes of disease. Treatment plans are tailored to the individual, whose life experiences can be explored via a variety of methods, such as the “sequential timeline” of documenting and treating physical and emotional traumas, working backward from the most recent event.

Korentayer’s personal triumphs via Heilkunst involve the permanent elimination of allergies, which he says “occurred within a few months.” This success ignited the desire for serious study of a path which eventually became a career for the psychology major.

Korentayer’s wife, business partner, and fellow doctor of medical Heilkunst, Allyson McQuinn, discovered her career while searching for a cure for her autistic-spectrum baby. She authored a book entitled “The Path To Cure: The Whole Art of Healing” to document this journey.

The practice of Heilkunst purportedly addresses and eliminates the negative effects of the drugs of conventional medicine, a subject linked with safety concerns associated with conventional flu shots and other vaccines provided by “mainstream” medicine.

“There are a great number of issues with vaccinations in general, and the flu shot in particular,” says Dr. Korentayer. “The medical problems boil down to two basic questions of safety and efficacy. On the question of safety, there have been numerous side effects, and health complications which include fatalities. This is due to the tremendous toxic load that is included with flu shot ingredients, which causes a great burden for the body to detox from, and is especially difficult where there are underlying immune system or health problems to begin with.”

With regard to efficacy, he goes on to say that “the key problem is that of the changing nature or identity of the flu strain from year to year. The CDC (Centre for Disease Control) has a very poor track each year (less than 15 per cent) in attempting to guess which strain might be coming each winter, something they need to do far enough in advance to have time for manufacturing the vaccine in mass quantities.”

Korentayer also noted that “conventional vaccines are only designed to attempt to induce an antibody response, which is the most superficial aspect of our immune response to infection, and on its own provides very little, if any protection.”

These issues are included amongst several areas of concern currently being researched by Korentayer, the results to be published in an upcoming resource book for parents, entitled “The Vaccination Myth.” The publication will help parents decide whether or not to vaccinate their children, and to show them “how to navigate through all the massive amounts of information available from both sides in this controversial debate.”

A website (www.thevaccinationmyth.com) has also been set up. Current content is sparse, but new material will appear over time.

Dear Mr. Thompson:

I saw your book titled Counterknowlege in a book store the other day, and browsed through it quickly.

There are a couple of comments that I would like to make, regarding what you say in this book mentioned above.

First, you are very critical of the idea of vaccinations causing autism.  What I believe is that in some cases, vaccinations trigger autism.  However, I believe that this is because in cases in which vaccinations cause (or trigger) autism, the individual has a high sensitivity to the heavy metals that vaccinations inject into the body.  It is just like the fact that nuts cause some people to be very ill physically, but in all such cases, it is because the individual has a severe allergy to nuts.  In cases in which an individual becomes autistic after having a vaccination, it is not the vaccination itself, or even the heavy metals that are in it, that is at fault, but the weak immune system that the individual has.

Second, I am very disappointed about your unfavourable opinion on alternative medicines.  When I picked up your book, I was hoping that you would be critical of the pharmaceutical industry.  I know that the pharmaceutical industry has brainwashed many of us into believing that if there is no pharmaceutical cure for something, then there is no cure for it whatsoever.  However, I have a strong suspicion that this is the pharmaceutical industry’s own wishful thinking.  A lot of people are saying that there is no cure for autism, but I have a strong suspicion that the pharmaceutical industry is brainwashing people into believing that.  I have a strong suspicion that if there is no pharmaceutical cure for autism, the pharmaceutical industry won’t want anybody to think that there is any solution to autism whatsoever.

In your own opinion, if no alternative medicines can correct or eliminate autism, does that mean that there is no solution to autism whatsoever?  From what I hear, there is currently an epidemic of autism.  It is more common in the Baby Boom generation than in any generation before it, and it is even more common in the generation after it.  What are people going to do if and when it gets to the point where as much as half the male population and about one-eighth of the female population (which would be about one-third of the total population) is on the autism spectrum?  If there is still no pharmaceutical treatment or cure for autism at that point, we will be living in an awful world!  Indeed, we are living in an awful world anyway, because of many other things that are happening, but it will be even more awful if and when as much as one-third or one-half of the world’s entire population is autistic!

If you believe that there will one day be a solution to the autism epidemic, please feel free to let me know what it might be.  And if you don’t believe that there will ever be a solution, please feel free to let me know how the world is going to deal with it.
