90 Day Regimen Breakthrough – Week 3
90 Day Regimen Breakthrough – Week 3
The Four Cardinal Points
In the first two weeks, we’ve laid down a framework of understanding what regimen is, and how you can approach it in a way that is ultimately more successful over the long term. On top of your foundation from the first 2 weeks, you’ll now start to build out the 4 walls of the structure. Starting this week, the focus will be increasingly on the more practical aspects of regimen, which you can draw from into your own plan. Do not try to do everything presented to you within this 90 day program, but just take note, and you can come back around afterwards to incorporate new things over time.
To expand on our concepts of “drawing your roadmap”, and “identifying the roadblocks”, we’ll start this week with the question
Who’s driving the bus?
Homework from this video:
In the spirit of objectivity, and being non-judgmental of yourself, identify any clues you have about where your conscious willpower is subverted by subconscious elements. Be as descriptive as you can, including all elements of the specific triggers, behaviours, emotions, and any other elements which make up the picture. Practicing this style of self-observation is invaluable for finding the homeopathic remedies that you need.
The four cardinal points of regimen
The principle underlying regimen (applying “the law of opposites” towards the goal of balance) is vast, and covers many different aspects and dimensions of your life. You need regimen not only for the body, but also for the mind, soul, and spirit. For our main purpose of laying a solid foundation for your regimen, I’ll introduce the “four cardinal points” of regimen, which are : sleep – recreation – nutrition – hydration. We’ll go into depth in each of the four points in the upcoming weeks.
Homework from this video:
Of the 4 cardinal points, which one(s) are you focussing on in your reflections and journalling so far? Which one(s) might you also want to pay attention to at this point? [Sleep ~ Hydration ~ Recreation ~ Nutrition].
Hi Jeff, immediate post viewing comment: the first video in particular made a lot of sense to me, helped me to understand where I am in my process … it has helped me to find resonance between the challenge a medical issue can create and roadblock in a conscious regimen … and that clarity extends to the second video but to a lesser degree and begs the question why are they in the order they are? Thank you.
Hi Lee,
The logic in my mind about the sequence of the videos, is that the concepts in the first video are an expansion of concepts explored in previous weeks, while the second video is an introduction to new material to come in upcoming weeks. I was thinking purely in a chrono-logic.
Makes sense?
Makes total sense; bridging the one into the other. I think that these bridges work well with the natural flow when working on self reflection. I also see the videos as sign posts to keep me on the path or bring me back from a side trip.
Yes, thank you, it makes sense. I likely was over-complicating and resonating with a different order personally: sleep, hydration, nutrition and then recreation.
